About ADU Craft Portland
We design, permit and build accessory dwelling units for homeowners in Portland and nearby cities. Licensed and insured.
What do we build?
Four kinds of unit: detached ADUs, garage conversions, attached ADUs and basement ADUs. We also run the design and permit work, so one team answers for the whole job.
Where do we work?
Portland, Beaverton, Lake Oswego, Milwaukie and Gresham. We are a service-area business: we come to your property and do not keep a walk-in office.
How do we work?
- The lot comes first. Zoning, overlays and existing buildings shape the design, not the other way around.
- Written, itemized quotes. Each part of the job has its own price before construction starts.
- Straight answers. If a unit type will not fit your lot or budget, we tell you early.
- Dated sources. ADU rules in Oregon change often, so every rule on this site carries a date and a source.
Is ADU Craft Portland licensed?
Yes. ADU Craft Portland is licensed and insured. Oregon requires construction contractors to hold a Construction Contractors Board (CCB) license, and the CCB lets anyone look a license up online. We share license and insurance details with every quote.
About the photos on this site
Images here illustrate ADU types in general. They are placeholders, not photos of completed work by us.

Check what your lot allows
Send us your address and a line about your plans. We look up the zoning, lot size and overlays, then tell you which ADU types are realistic.
